Benefits
Beets provide folate, manganese, fiber and nitrates that support blood flow. They can turn stool or urine pink — harmless.
Risks
High in natural sugars and oxalates, so limit portions in diabetic or stone-prone pets. Beet greens are safer in moderation than the root.
