How it works

Modern veterinary and welfare guidelines (ARAV, RSPCA, ReptiFiles) exceed outdated '20-gallon minimum' rules. We calculate exact length × width × height, floor area (sq ft / m²), and internal volume based on adult body size, natural locomotion, and arboreal vs terrestrial climbing needs.

Examples

  • Bearded dragon adultMin 48 × 24 × 24 in (120 gal)
  • Leopard geckoMin 36 × 18 × 18 in (40 gal)
